I6 stock alt maximum output

Before I dropped my mechman alt back in today I decided to see what my factory alt could do. I don't have an "official" load tester like a vat45 so I just loaded the system with what I have. With the mechman alt I clamped it at 250-ishA so I knew I could spank this alt pretty good. They claim 150A peak amps and I guess they weren't lying. This test was done at 2krpm.

While we're on the topic, I did some other tests too.

• engine running 2krpm
  
• 6 beam lights on
• blower on 5
• fan clutch engaged

This averaged 67A. Pretty much every one I've clamped has been right around there, which only leaves 80-ishA available for accessories.

Any readings at idle?

I'd guess 70ish. It should be able to keep up with all stock stuff on with some reserve.

You know when I did this I felt like I forgot something. Max output at idle would have been nice to know.
