Hi,
The driver side floor is getting wet, the pillar where the door hinges to fills up with water,

Then the water spills into the truck by the cavity hole.

I couldn't find any posts on this here, I thought I read similar situations here. does anyone know how the water is getting into the pillar?

Any information will be highly appreciated.

Thank you in advance

Do you happen to have a sun roof?

Alright. If you did have a sunroof, there is a drain tube that runs out on that pillar and it could've been pushed into it. I'm not familar with how everything else works but maybe a windshield seal... some one with more expirence will be along shortly I'm sure.

Welcome back Victor! :tiphat:

The drains for the roof racks exits in the hinge area just like the sunroof would. I poured water under the front cap one time just to see what would happen, and it drained out under the rocker panel. My guess is your drain tube is clogged somehow. I haven't taken my panels apart to find out how they're routed though.

Blckshdw for the welcome back, looking forward to the next meet.

Look at bulletin #03-08-57-004D - Front Floor Carpet Wet (Seal Top of A Pillar) - (Nov 21, 2008)

After deep research found that underneath the weather strip is a row of screws and the first one at the bottom was missing. I believe we had the windshield replaced late last year, the problem presented it self earlier this year. The pillar only leaked during really heavy rain. I have been ignoring it. I was able to duplicate the problem with a garden hose, Replaced the screw and garden hose test showed leak was corrected but holding back on victory dance until next heavy rain.

Thank Everyone

Interesting timing on this thread as I found a wet spot on my driver side floor next to the false pedal just recently and I haven't the foggiest idea where it came from (nothing else around it is wet). This may be just the ticket.

I didn't know the roof rack had a drain.

I dunno if the SWB is the same, but back when I was on that whole NF marker light kick, and had my roof rack caps off for like 6 months, I noticed a couple of small openings that were exposed. So out of curiosity of what happens when I rained, I poured water in them to see where it exited from.

I had the same problem (sunroof and rack). I took the windshield side trim off, cleaned it and laid a bead of silicone top to bottom. Let it set and re-installed the trim. No leaks anymore. Plus, I have recently removed the roof rack and sealed the holes still with no leaks.
