Trouble w/ 2005 Trailblazer

I have a 2005 trailblazer. Last night my husband removed the battery to replace a headlight plug-in. After reconnecting the battery my truck won't start without pressing the gas. Also will not idle or run at all without pressing gas. From the best I can gather we should clean the throttle body first. I am correct in this, or does anyone have any other ideas of what it could be.

Welcome!

Yep, the computer reset and when trying to run it no longer has the dirty throttle body compensation. Clean it and that should take care of it

If you don't know if its ever been cleaned before then its proably time to do it. Not difficult to do, just pick up some throttle body cleaner.

Welcome to the Nation.

Don't forget the relearn procedure.

They already did that by pulling the battery. That's why it won't idle now

I think it's referencing the recent throttle body relearn procedure, which will be debunked soon.
