I've got an 06 Trailblazer...wasn't too wild about it at first, but I'm really starting to like it.

Mine is 2 wd so in the spot where the 4x4 switch would go (just above the dial for the rear wipers), there's a little decorative plug. I'm wanting to to something with that spot....since there's not a lot of space in the cockpit for stuff, what I was thinking was to have a way to mount a holder there for my phone.
I have one of the FM transmitters that has a phone cradle that plugs into the power port. don't really like the location, plus I'm about to swap radios for one where I can directly connect the phone. Trying to come up with a way of mounting the gooseneck/cradle attachment on the aforementioned spot. I'm decent with tools, but creatively I'm drawing a total blank.
any ideas?...

^that is sharp! I noticed on your ac temp sliders, only the drivers side is lit up...just like mine.

I want to find some white faced clock that will fit that hole, but ive had no lUck finding one thatll fit that hole

cradle is an old FM transmitter that no longer functions; trimmed the wires, removed the goosenek. made a slot in the dash plug with my Dremel, then ran a small screw down through the tab in the backside of the plug. dabbed in a little JB weld for good measure.
The spacers are two rubber gaskets from my work bench. Cajun engineering at it's best.
