Dash brake light on 2008 Acadia

Hi all I have an intermittent issue with my dash red brake and parking brake light coming on steady with multple chimes and it stays on until I stop and restart the engine then all is good again . I have checked the brake fluid and the brakes seem ok. This happens every couple of weeks what do you think could be the cause...thanks Javindra

You would need to get the codes read with a special high end scanner.

If you're looking to buy a fairly cheap one (for all it can do). I have a BlueDriver OBDII scanner and it reads almost every system.

It will read engine codes, ABS, airbag, transmission codes, etc.. It's $99, but totally worth it for a starter scanner.
