It's been awhile since I've been on here. But good health and good weather has me back, ready to mod again. First up is a complete LED conversion. I've been searching for what kind of bulbs and what bulbs work best for our trucks(different sites, good eBay sellers). All the info seems to be spread out so I'm trying to bring everything together. Im missing a few things, if anyone knows the bulb numbers. Im missing the part # for the module that allows the leds to flash normally w/o blowing a fuse. Anyone know? I'll keep searching...

This, sir, is a GREAT idea! 
I've considered putting one like this together, put time restraints on my part...and a mild case of what I like to call the "shiny disorder" (A.D.D. LOL) kept me from it.

How'd you know? I don't think you guys need me for this. You've got a good start already, just keep it rolling. I have faith in you. I wanted to replace all of my interior lights with White LEDs not sure which ones to get or where to get them from, Some differ in size and Would be afraid I wouldn't get the Correct ones, or if I would need to make any Mods to have them work properly.

Well, proof of concept is done. It's up and working fine on my desk. Now its time to transfer it to my Envoy. But exterior first... Can you tell me what kind of flasher module you used to stop hyperflash and cruise control from not working? Does anyone have a recommendation on a good 3157 led seller for our vehicles?
Probably easiest to just get load resistors. My Depo tails have them built in. I got the LM487 module from Rock Auto. Some guys have had cruise control issues when they switched their brake bulbs to LED, some haven't.
As far as who to get the 3157s from, find the color you want, for a price you're willing to pay, with the number of LEDs on it you want. Use that as your primary criteria.

Would you like some SMD lights? I have plenty you know...
You guys need to catch on like TBSSowners have.
A little info here for ya a 168, 194 and 921 all have the same base. I have around 10 different bulbs in the base size and different colors-red, white, blue, amber and various degrees of brightness all the way up to a Cree 5 watts 400 lumen! Cargo lights are the 212 42 mm festoon (looks like a bullet) and I have 8 SMD, 16 SMD up to a 42 SMD plate that will lay in the lens. $30 shipped for a basic brightness upgrade which includes the 2 for the license plate. Or $50 for the brightest. Crees will fit front domes but not the rear seat domes or license-the limit for those spots is 8 SMD.
Going on 2 years I've been helping others with their lights and I now have 3 suppliers overseas direct with factories and several US suppliers as well.

Chatted with Eric, one of my suppliers, last night and his factory is expanding on lighting options. He gave me a glimpse of their line up for HID/ballasts/wire harnesses, projectors etc and it is impressive with multiple choices for each. And their projectors are looking awesome. I asked if he could make a flasher/signal module like the LM487 we could simply plug in to get away from resistors and splicing in. Maybe even an adjustable one. If its $20-25 for one I'm sure most would choose plug n play over splicing wires with dangling resistors which get hot. Waiting to hear back.
Well, I added some more info to the chart from my searching and replies. Thanks. (The smd counts are what Im choosing for the specific lights, I'm going off a good post in the led thread from ItsOnVoy and made some changes. Hopefully the overall look comes out good. If not, I'll make changes.)
I was also able to make some changes to my app, make it more Envoy themed. Not sure how many smd's I want for the interior. Im fine with the brightness of the stock bulbs, I'd just like to change the color to a cool white. DFWWIZ, Im looking for the interior and and license plate lights to match my HID's 6000K 35W, but I want the brightness to be the same, same for license plate too. I just want enough to light up the plate and have a decent glow, nothng extreme. Which do you recommend, your 'Bright' or 'Brighter'?
Sorry for the bad quality, its late, its all I have right now. Neways here's a simple app I made to control the gauges lights. Made it Envoy themed using stock photos and some photoshop. Quick rundown, when powers applied(turn car on) program will test all three colors, RGB, are working. Select a bluetooth device to connect to (BT module in car) then select color/brightness. Didnt show it here, but you set it, save it, then everytime you turn your car on it will test the RGB, then set to your saved color/brightness. Like I said, sorry for the bad video, I'll try to borrow a better cam. Also, the stock gauge face has a blue tint. So you'll never get a pure white out of it, it gives out a cool-white color instead. If there was a torch passing smiley, I'd be using that right now. Can we get pics of the cluster's circuit board to see how you've got the controller and RGBs hooked up? It may be because I just rolled out of bed, but the logic isn't coming to me just yet

Thanks, Yes. Right now I'm taking each interior piece, measuring it, making an acrylic cutout that rests above the vehicle's circuit board to home the new RGB leds. Since the RGB's take 4 wires, the car's circuit board cannot be used, so I have to run seperate wiring for everything I want control over, then wire it back to the controller module that will be around the steering wheel or inside gauges. I have a CNC router so Im making some sketches for each piece to have the router do all the cuts at once. Save me time with the dremel and hopefully I can make kits if anyone else had interest in trying this mod in their truck. Using black acrylic the whole system can rest ontop the stock lights and block the light. My stock lights were ripped off awhile ago so Im using clear acrylic.
Im using an acrylic plate and a plain strip. This is just proof of concept, I'll have my own circuit boards made to house the RGB's. The cluster circuit board is not used. View attachment 29010Blckshdw said:
