code p 0300

I have a 2003 trailblazer with th 4.2 I was driving it today and it stalled it started right away but ran terrible the ses light was flashing I hook ip a code reader it came up p0300 any ideas is there any way to check a coil thanks

I am pretty sure that's a bad coil code.

Disconnect one coil at a time, plugging it back in until you find the coil that has no change on the idle... once you figure which coil is bad, swap that coil with a different cylinder and see if the problem follows the coil....

I hook up the scanner again it came up p0302 I guess thats cylinder 2 right no 1 is closest to the radiator right

Right. Perform the swap like KNB said with number two coil with a different coil and see if the code follows as in if you swap #2 with #3 the code would pop up P0303. If it does, there's the problem.

yes... install a new spark plug as well...

Thanks for the help it turned out it was the coil pack
