I changed my rear wheel bearings and seals along with rear sway bar bushings and links this past weekend. Im still having issues with a clunking sound from the back of the trailblazer as i drive over any kind of bump. Pulled the wheels yesterday and adjusted the emergency break thought it might have been the emergency brake shoes slapping in the rotor. No luck still making noise. Nothing appears to be loose. Has anyone else had this problem? Any input is greatly appreciated.

Is the spare tire secure?

Anything in the cargo area or the various compartments and cubbies back there?

Are the sway bar links secure and intact?

It's often the link nuts. If you put them out without loctite, and without really honking down on the tightening, they can clunk. Especially if the previous nuts were loose, and the holes opened up over time. Torque specs are routinely ignored for the end link nuts.

Try checking the bolts on both rear shocks and make sure they are tight. Can't remember the torque at the moment. Just like the end links, the shocks will give a 'clunk' if loose. Worth a shot.

The shocks get 59 lb ft at both the upper and lower bolts.
