Carbon Fiber pads

Just wondering, what are your thoughts about carbon fiber brake pads?
Good / Bad???? Looking to do my drums and pads this spring.

Your best bet is to go with the ceramic pads that Brake Motive sell, TBH.

I remember when the only choice at the time was regular and semi-metallic, I tried carbon pads on my old S-Jimmy. Were super hard and made lots of dust. IMHO, ceramic is a lot better nowadays.

I'm using Napa Adaptive One pads, they have an inner n outer ceramic. I have little to no brake dust, no noise and they work really well. I'd buy them again no problem.

+1 for ceramic pads. Very quiet, grip well, and does not create much brake dust at all.

I'd have to say stick Ceramic pads from a brand that is highly reputable, there's several. Not gonna go on naming them off lol. I personally have metallic ones from Baer, and there's a high amount of dust. It's not good for someone who's very OCD about dirt and dust on their rig like myself. But they're great, and have awesome stopping power. I'm not gonna replace them with Ceramic ones until they wear down though. But yeah, go with Ceramic pads man.

OEM is ceramic pad, so there is no reason to downgrade to semi-metallic or carbon fiber. And I will second the recommendation for NAPA Adaptive One pad if you want the top of the line.

I sometimes drive police cars on race tracks for a living, and I was talking to the Raybestos folks about their new heavy-duty police pursuit pads and rotors. The NAPA Adaptive One pad has exactly the same waffle-pattern on the steel backing plate as the Raybestos police pursuit pads.
