Replaced transmission with a junkyard transmission put it in car still having same issue.. The TB will not move in any gear.. It does engage in the gears ans if i rev the engine up it will move 1 inch.. tranfer case has new fluid in it.. Tranny has new filter and fluid in it.. The only problem we have had was the ignition key wouldn't come out it was a fues in the back seat fuse box.. and now the 4wd switch will not come out of 4low it does indicate when i put it to 2hi but wont engage has a brand new shifter linkage... Any help would be great..

Could be encoder motor bit the dust. Pull it off the transfer case and see if it turns as you change to different modes.

It sounds like the transmission lock "pawl" is not operated to unlock.

Of course, your statement "its having the same problem" would beg the question what actually started you down the road to a transmission replacement in the first place... ie. history of the problem.

old transmission wouldnt shift in d only worked in manuel 1 2 sometimes 3 changed the fluid and it was like sluggish black full of metal changed filter drove it for a week shifted to 3 fine but still not drive.. then it just stopped on the road... towed it back and only thing i could think of was the tranny had to be bad... could the transfercase keep the car from moving

Maybe if it's not shifting modes correctly. There is a nice article/post in offroadtb.com that explains the functioning of the transfer case.

If the fluid was black that screams lack of maintenance to me. If the transfer case has been just as neglected it could have given up the ghost also. What condition was its fluid in before the change?

that was dirty also but it poured out on the ground we did put new fluid in the transfer case too.. i assume i should drop that and open it up to check the fluid again... would this stop the car from moving...

Yes it can stop the vehicle from moving, The Transfer Case does have a Neutral position.
If you can change modes, 2HI, 4AWD, 4HI and hear the Encoder motor move without tripping the "Service 4WD" light then it is probably ok.
The conclusive test for Transfer Case neutral is if the parking pawl grinds/clicks when shifting into Park.
Make sure you have the transmission in Neutral when shifting Transfer Case into or out of 4LO.
