Torque converter locking in and out

Well at 191,900 miles it seems that my 2003 trailblazer is having it's first major problem. When I get into 4th gear at around 45 mph the truck starts to stumble and my rpms rapidly fluctuate between about 400 rpms. I haven't needed to go faster than that yet because the problem just started...

    replacing thermostat, need opinions

Replaced the thermostat with a oem one from the dealer. Believe it or not it only costed 13 bucks because I had 26 dollars off of my next purchase from the dealer.

I have 163,000 miles on my 03 trailblazer lt. Still on the original pump, knock on wood. I seriously do not want to drop the tank to replace it if it ever crape out

    replacing thermostat, need opinions

Well, my 03 trailblazer threw a Po128 last week on a 1000 mile road trip. Truck ran at like 160-180 degrees the whole time on the highway but then warmed up when I got into traffic. Anyways I'm looking for opinions on what brand of thermostat I should use. I called up our local dealership and...

Thoughts on Lucas transmission stop slip?

First off the product is stop slip not stop leak. I didn't really google anything before using the product I just talked to a few competent mechanics who recommended the stuff. Also a few people on YouTube used it and said it worked well for their vehicle. Like I said, my transmission wasn't...

Thoughts on Lucas transmission stop slip?

I wanted to see what our gmtnation community thought about putting Lucas stop slip in our trannies. Personally I put the stuff in my trailblazer when i changed my transmission fluid for the 2nd time. I was dealing with a hard 1-2 shift only when cold but otherwise the tranny shifted fine but...

2004 envoy with 116,000 miles....should I change the tranny fluid?

I would change it... I changed my tranny fluid for the first time at 145,000 miles then I did it again exactly one year later. All it did for me was help shift quality. So at 116,000 miles you should be fine changing it. I also would recommend throwing in a bottle of Lucas transmission stop...

    Diesel sound...lifters?

A diesel sound is probably the best way I Can describe the noise my engine is making. It has made the noise intermittently for like 5 years since around 100,000 miles now that it has 158,000 the noise stays all the time but you can only really hear it at less than 2000 rpms. I'm guessing my...

    Timing chain tensioner gone bad?

Now that I think about it, you're right I should pull the valve cover off just to see if it will give me any clues on what's going on. I think I'm gonna plan on doing that within the next couple of weeks. How hard is the valve cover gasket on these engines? I've done a few valve cover gaskets...
