2007 LT 4.2 with 228000 km (141000 miles) just had both upper/lower ball joints plus both hubs and rear control arm done. Drives great and hope to keep at least another 5 years.

I would also suspect the ignition switch, had some of the same problems that you are having changed it and not had any problems since. bIf you do replace the ignition switch do so with the key out of the ignition and also compare the old switch with the new one and take notice the origination of...

Had the same problem with my 07 and it turned out the be the ignition switch needed to be replace. No problems since the replacement.:thumbsup:
