    FEEDBACK Seeing Alerts

I will look for red numeral but I think on mine it is just a red dot or a red number so small it looks like a dot. Sometimes. there is no red number/dot, before I open the alerts but when I do open it, there is unread threads that are a shaded area and a bolder font.

    FEEDBACK Seeing Alerts

Yea, I see the dot. I was just looking for a way to easily notice an unread alert. Hovering over the dot, is fine but is an extra step. I was just wondering if there was a real easy way to do a quick glance and see an unopened/unread post/alert. I just have to get my old eyes to look closer and...

    FEEDBACK Seeing Alerts

Yes, that is what I am talking about. If you look at your pic, The thread for "What did you do to your GMT today?", is barely darker than the thread below it that is labeled "Seeing Alerts". I can barely see the difference in the posts "lightness/darkness", showing that I have not opened the...

    FEEDBACK Seeing Alerts

Is there an easy way to get the alerts to show up when opened. They are highlighted but maybe I am too old to easily see them. I have to look pretty hard to notice the bolder font.

What did you do to your GMT today? [Part II]

The reason I warned about this, is that when I ran shops, I saw some mechanics that rushed to do a comeback and still created a problem. I had to let some of them go, if the problem was repeated on a regular basis.

NEED HELP 2003 Trailblazer EXT w/rearAC evaporator tube.

It was years ago and I was around doing R12 and the changeover to R134A. Rule of thumb was 2 ounces for the accumulator we always replaced when system was opened. Made sure a new compressor came with it's own oil. then we held our tongue just right and if reused the evap, we would add 1 more...

What did you do to your GMT today? [Part II]

Keep a very close eye on the pan seal for any leaks. When a mechanic has to do a comeback, they can rush sometimes and skip some steps or not be very clean in the process.

    When to replace fuel pump?

IMO, replace it before the trip with a quality pump. If gonna do it, do it as soon as can to get some time and mileage on it.

    Block coolant drain plug?

Unless you have a vacuum operated refill set up for the coolant refill, I tend to elevate the side or front of the vehicle a little and refill very slowly with coolant. I don't start the engine till I get the refill level to stop "burping" when filled to the line. This way of doing a refill has...

What did you do to your GMT today? [Part II]

The amount of grease at the end of boot shows it is not a fresh tear. Plus, that whole side is wet. You have other leaks, IMO. Got vehicle back from where? You would think a shop would have pointed that out. What work was being done at the shop?

    Block coolant drain plug?

I had no idea what it looked like or where it was but I was pretty sure it had a threaded drain plug. Plus, the ones I remember are at least on the d/s, if not on both sides.
