thats exactly where my rust is. gonna grind it to bare metal paint then clear coat. theres other steps in between but a quick youtube search will help you out on exactly what to do

Quick update i was able to remove the washer hose run my wires (2) then insert the hose back through with no problem at all. Now i just gotta drill my camera into the middle post where the license plate lights are and ill be set. Gotta run out and get some self tappers to go through the liftgate :).
Yeah I was using the fishing tape I have for Ethernet wires. But It was almost impossible to push even a wire without an end. It got the bottom part where it thinned out and there was no way in hell anything was getting through. Gonna try with soapy water today didn't think about it before
