2005 SAAB auction. From the pictures, the console doesn't look busted. Actually looks like the screws have been removed to get to the ignition switch. Also, the ignition switch is still there. The trick will be removing the lock cylinder without the key. You may also want to get the dash vent...

Almost 1yr since I picked up my SAAB. 2006, 4.2 now with 147K miles, runs like a top!

From my time searching on here, I was under the impression that the earlier 360's had issues with the TCCM? Other than the fan clutch and ecm there hasn't been any updates to the 4.2 engine mechanically?

I think he was interested in the 4.2. Is the fuel milage about the same with the 6 and v8's V8's are like hens teeth around my parts, lots of 4.2 though.

Friend from work likes my SAAB 97x but would like the selectable 4wd. He asked me which years to watch out for, I told him to avoid the 02-04's. Was I wrong in my telling him this? Which years where the most reliable? Thanks!

Hi Mooseman, would you still have the ignition switch? Also, I am looking for the shifter bezel. The p/o of mine broke all the clips so it doesn't sit down nicely on the wood. Thanks, Greg

Yes, that is the kit I used and the price I paid was pretty much the same. I did install mine without the spacers to get the ride hight listed in my other post and I didn't use the rubber isolators, so far there isn't any noise from the springs and if there was any, I was going to use 1/2"...
