NEED HELP CEL with P0332 rear knock sensor - how to test wire?

I'll see if the connectors will reach. I swapped the sensors themselves, and was going to look at swapping the pins in the PCM side connector to flip the wiring, but I could also do this and swap the connectors if they reach. I'll check it out and report back.

NEED HELP CEL with P0332 rear knock sensor - how to test wire?

Ok, I installed new upstream and downstream o2 sensors, re-ran the logs. I tried to do the freeze frame of the check engine code within Torque Pro app, but it wont show any info about it. see attached screenshots... I have also attached the new logs from after installing the new o2 sensors. I...

NEED HELP CEL with P0332 rear knock sensor - how to test wire?

Additional note, I'm just throwing parts at it now... lol worst way to try to fix a problem, I know. I replaced the coil packs since they haven't been changed in forever, at least 50k miles. I also ordered new o2 sensors, because I read in some other threads that it solved some problems with...

NEED HELP CEL with P0332 rear knock sensor - how to test wire?

I think its just something on the photos, they look nice and clean in person. I also took a small paperclip and they are tight on both those female pins at the PCM connector. I went to guitar center near me and bought some of that deoxit and sprayed a little on the pins just like the guy did in...

NEED HELP CEL with P0332 rear knock sensor - how to test wire?

The Torque Pro and the scanner tool I have doesn't have the knock sensor PID items active and able to provide me data on them. Maybe this scanner tool is too cheap, but I see the PIDs for knock sensors, just no data availabe for them. I did check wires from wiring harness connector at the PCM...

NEED HELP CEL with P0332 rear knock sensor - how to test wire?

I ran some logging and show only 2 misfires in cyl 4 over about 10 minutes of idle, 1500rpm and 2500rpm logging. Maybe shaking is too strong of a word. But I'm referring to that studder or shake that happens when the engine misfires. Like if you sit at idle and have a constant smooth hum of the...

NEED HELP CEL with P0332 rear knock sensor - how to test wire?

Yep, you are one step ahead of me. I went into the app and added the custom PIDs, which are all listed under "[GM]xxx" I am getting no misfires, at idle, according to this, but still able to feel a slight shaking. I am going to go drive it around and log it while accelerating and see what...

NEED HELP CEL with P0332 rear knock sensor - how to test wire?

Understood, thanks. I was thinking fuel banks were setup the same as the knock sensor banks and I should have had a rear bank 2 reading because it shows waiting for data in the app. I'll look for the PIDs for the misfires and report back.

NEED HELP CEL with P0332 rear knock sensor - how to test wire?

Another update. I don't drive this vehicle daily, so the repairs are also slow. Moving away from the knock sensor issue and trying to figure out a root cause, I got a Veepeak scanner tool with ELM327 as suggested and downloaded the Torque Pro app. I had some play store credits, so the app was...

NEED HELP CEL with P0332 rear knock sensor - how to test wire?

I am now considering doing the AC Delco top end cleaner and getting the live OBD2 reader to check the misfires, timing changes, and fuel trim readings. But I can't seem to find the "ACDelco GM Original Equipment 10-3015 Engine Cylinder Cleaner" anywhere. Is this still sold in stores? maybe I...

NEED HELP CEL with P0332 rear knock sensor - how to test wire?

OK, update. I tested the continuity between the female slots 71 & 72 on the ECM connector and the female slots on the knock sensor harness connector. Both had continuity and no resistance. I had audible beeping from the multimeter, and then when I tested the female slots on the ECM connector to...

NEED HELP CEL with P0332 rear knock sensor - how to test wire?

I have no idea how to do this, I only have a cheap ODB2 code reader. I'm assuming I need some kind of more detailed live software on my laptop to read these misfire counts. I have FORSCAN for my Ford Truck, not sure that would do this for the Envoy.

NEED HELP CEL with P0332 rear knock sensor - how to test wire?

So I removed the C2 connector, the middle 73 pin female plug and it doesn't look corroded or bad at all. I will do the end to end checks from the bottom corner female pins 71 and 72 on the wiring harness connector plug to the knock sensor wiring harness connector end and also to ground and...

NEED HELP CEL with P0332 rear knock sensor - how to test wire?

thanks for those links. You hit the nail on the head here, "root cause... yet to be discovered" I installed new spark plugs during this operation, so probably not a spark plug issue. Could be the COPs, they have 50k plus miles on them. I don't remember when I replaced the coils last. I'll...
