    Weird overheating issue

It's better than it had been. I haven't seen it over 210 but it still behaves weirdly with the A/c on. I am going to have that looked at eventually. Thanks for the suggestions.

    Weird overheating issue

I'll get another thermostat ordered and see what happens. Hopefully it stays in that 201 to 207 range for the most part.

    Weird overheating issue

I know its not full blown over heating and I'm being overly careful. I don't think 220 is going to hurt the engine at all. Its just warmer than it used to be and the scangauge lets me keep way too close an eye on it. It'd be nice to know I can make a high speed highway run again without running...

    Weird overheating issue

Took the truck out for a drive on the highway tonight. Around 85 degrees out and A/C on max. Drove around 50 miles I'd say and the temperature maxed momentarily at 195 and held steady at 179-186 the rest of the way at 75mph. This was essentially with no thermostat, meant as a test only. I...

    Weird overheating issue

Hi Everyone, Hadn't been on here in a while but Delila has had a fit and seems to be running a temperature, time to get her feeling better soon. I had my A/C serviced and a leaky waterpump replaced at the same time. I have a suspicion that the mechanics sabotaged it somehow but I can't prove...

A/C compressor suddenly stopped running (electrical issue, not mechanical)

I don't have any explanation other than that A. The electrical fault has not reappeared much to my liking. B. The system was grossly overcharged initially as they put in refrigerant for a system with rear A/c. I have the rear controls but not a second evaporator assembly. I'm leaning towards...

A/C compressor suddenly stopped running (electrical issue, not mechanical)

I was beginning to think the computer could be the culprit. It sounds like $100 for a dealershop to run their tech 2 at it is money well spent. I'll have to look and jiggle the engine bay portion of the wires a little bit more, but I've almost ruled them out at this point. Thanks Roadie, I will...

A/C compressor suddenly stopped running (electrical issue, not mechanical)

Hi Everyone I hope you all are doing well, I had a weird issue start with my TB today. The air-conditioner would do nothing but give me hot air, not heat but engine bay temp air none the less. I had my system looked over, the refrigerant pressure was high, they evacuated and properly recharged...

How to replace Vent Solenoid (I6 Trailblazer)

I needed this replaced and broke down for the 100 dollar dealer diagnostic. They quoted me ~$450 to replace it claiming that the tank needed to e dropped and such. It really is an easy job to change it out. I had the generic loose gas cap code. P0014? Not sure of the number anymore.

Ac clutch on all the time with A/C

I've had it since day one for all essential purposes. Even when it was my dads car I did some of the maintenance on it. I haven't modified the Ac in any way. I have no doubt that the pressure switch may have failed. I will order and replace that part. The Ac doesn't seem to be functioning as...

Ac clutch on all the time with A/C

The Ac clutch only turns on and off via the in cabin switch, it does not cycle normally once the desired temp has been reached. The fan clutch is engaged 100% if the time that the Ac is turned on. Both issues started at the same time.

Ac clutch on all the time with A/C

I got in and drove around till I had the car at 70 degrees. I waited for the fans to wind down as I just use the auto temp setting. The recirculate function was off, I believe that always runs the Ac. I then bumped the desired temp up ten degrees and quickly got out, closed the door and checked...

Ac clutch on all the time with A/C

The Ac clutch only engages and disengages with the in cabin switch, it does not cycle while the Ac is on as it should. The junction where you would top off refrigerant ( the accumulater?) is cold as well as the metal tube running horizontally across the front of the motor, however the...
