Anyone in the Phoenix area a motor builder or have rebuilt a 4.2? If not I'll be parting out my Voy, including lift and 33" MTs. I'm not going to spend another 5g's on this thing when the vehicle its self isn't worth that.

I'm from that area, my brother lives in La Conner and I go there a couple times a year to fish. An LS would be great, but then EVERYTHING in the chain would have to be replaced to handle the HP. Upgrade the tranny, then the transfer case, drive lines, then do a straight axle swap with maybe...

For all of that headache and rewireing, I'd rather dump a bad azzzz LS1 in there. 800hp in 4LO, that would break something.

First off, being a former TV member, YES I did use the search feature. I saw where people were talking about it but not doing it. Has it been done on a 4x4? I have a blown 4.2 and I am looking at all of my options. Thanks.

TallPaul, your still alive! I just saw RL the other day on a hunt and no one has heard from you. We will have to do another meet as soon as my motor rebuild is done.

Just found this site, been gone for awhile. Needed to update mine: 38) Riddlebox0333 - Liftmeister front 2.5" with Bilstein HDs front & back, Z71 rear springs, 3" Body lift, 33-12.5 R18 Toyo Open Country MTs. Plus a blown motor at 158K miles that I will be pulling this weekend.:mad:
