2002 Trailblazer only a4wd working properly

If you watched the video you would hear that the front diff only engaged in AWD , which is typical of a encoder sensor. Hes also does not complain of any noises and or clunking. Im willing to wager that its the motor

2002 Trailblazer only a4wd working properly

As I posted prior you need to replace that motor, and this is why, - The TCCM monitors the case motor AND the 4wd disconnect - The TCCM than makes decisions based on its inputs - As your video verified the switch and the case motor are working and the TCCM appears to be working because it stops...

No I dont believe so, what you have described is classic encoder motor sensor issues. Also Encoder motor = Transfer case motor

the brake solenoid is in the encoder motor along with your faulty sensor , just replace the unit but do not buy a doorman product

Strange 4WD issue- stuck? No, not stuck... this time.

and it will if the sensor is not completely gone , as long as the resistance is close the tccm will try to go through the motions , but in the end will only make an educated guess , so basically its like rolling a dice lol. Also do not buy a doorman motor they are faulty from the factory ( the...

    Encoder motor issues

Sorry for posting so late in this thread but your culprit is the encoder motor sensor, the tccm is acting the way it is because of the reading its getting from that sensor.

    Encoder motor issues

Can a internal problem in the case cause a encoder motor to physically break, also if the case were binding shouldn't the fuse blow before the motor broke itself?

    Encoder motor issues

My rig has the NVG 226 / Np8 transfer case and I lost the encoder motor sensor in the original encoder motor about a month ago, I ordered a doormam replacement and installed it, it lasted two days and the gear reduction unit portion of it broke and left me stuck on a rock , actually split in two...
