so i unscrewed one screw (5.5) from the cover where the mode actuator goes for the 2002 and am JB WELDING-IT to get it back in and put back into the mode actuator. here is the pic. pardon my contraption to make it stick. its the only thing in the shop that i cuold find.
wait, its a gear that comes with it? um, i have a 2002...which is different then all other models i think. im thinking of jb weld to get the part back on but theres a million different jb welds and i do0nt know which one to buy.
hey roadie..would jb weld work for the mode actuator shaft? same concept...it broke off. however to get the actuator back on i feel like i have to bang it in place once the shaft is cured with jb weld. any pointers? any part number for it?
any any idea on which jb weld? theres a whole ton of them.
not sure if its because i have an 2002 but my mode and defrost actuator were on the opposite side. the side my driver side door is on. and the dumb shaft where the mode actuator goes on broke off.
finally took the task of changing my defrost and my mode actuator on my 2002 trailblazer ext lt. great follow up on the site. remove bottom panels/covers, removed air plastic tubing and voila...both actuators sitting there. defrost was super easy, in and out. mode, not so much. i used a tool at...
mine is throwing the code and ive changed a few fuel sensors (the canister in the engine bay, the cartridge looking one on top of the shaft and the sensor that goes in back of the fuel tank). we did a evap smoke test and its not leaking from anywhere. i dont know where the hell to go with this...
ill check the wheel turns...however, the swb has a tighter turn than the lwb now that i changed the cv axle. before i changed the cv axle, it had a tighter turn not as wide as it is now.
tomorrow we will check it out. see what comes up with it. if its the switch, i think i saw it new for like 35 bucks or something. also #9, should it be changed as well. its a moving mechanism right?
i changed both cv axles on my TB EXT LT and got an alignment because i needed it. however, once i got out of the alignment i noticed that when i make a u-turn, my turning is short. before i changed anything (with the old cv axles) i was able to make this u-turn at my house no problem and end up...
awesomeness...im going to mess with it on saturday. i dont think its the sensor per-se but the actual cable on D. all the other gears are being indicated. dont know why drive is having the issue which im assuming is tripping up the cruise control.
the switch now shows an indicator on all gears except drive. when i push the shifter a bit up or down (on drive) it indicates D. however, now my cruise control does not work. im sure its because its not being registered. any ideas? i know i have to switch it out.
can someone help me out on the...
no idea. it was caught on something. seems like it was down there for a while...however, it could of been me when i cleaned my TB last spring. rookie move. i wonder how much better the car will ride.
cant wait to tackle the oil pressure gauge thing. my stepper wont get here until monday tho :(...
