neither. have to open the tailgate manually. its different from the midgate-that only took about 15 minutes to repair. if I was electronically inclined, maybe I could figure this out. frustrated doesn't come close to describing it.

its down right now, but I can move it up or down by hand. looks like a cable frayed, kinked and popped the cap off of the spindle. no way to spool the cable into it. the motor works but is useless.

thanks, tried it but doesn't work. motor just keeps spinning. I think the motor is usually force-stopped by the cable before the roof moves. I'm hoping I can remove the motor and somehow stop it from spinning so the roof opens. has this been done?

a cable is frayed and somehow twisted itself off the regulator motor. rather than replace the part, I figured i'd just retract the roof and keep it in truck mode. problem is, I can't retract the roof. it seems they are wired to work together. anyone know a hack to getting the roof open...

I've had my tune for a week now; it's awesome. question: since I put it in, my rear speakers haven't worked. are things like this common? let me know if I should contact the shop directly. thanks

fixed my transmission issues. had it rebuilt. I was 4.5 hours away from home towing a uhaul when the tranny went out. good times. got some recommendations on a reputable shop and had them do the work. drives great now. solid rpm's, solid shifts.

been pretty busy lately. i'll update when I get a chance to have a shop check it out. thanks for the extra opinion. i'd be super happy if it had nothing to do with the tcc. well, as long as its cheaper.

If that is the problem, how tough of a job is it? Any specific tools needed? I don't mind doing it myself, but I also don't mind paying a pro. to do it right.

That's what I thought it might be, after reading similar threads. No lights or codes showing. I'm at 115,000. Just replaced tranny fluid and filter within the past 6 months.
