I, too, had to deal with the exhaust leak by the exhaust manifold for 15 years. I bought the gasket and getting ready to remove the bolts and then I suddenly realized that the first 5 bolts (front of engine) was loose. I tighten the bolts and hoping the exhaust leak didnt burn off the gasket...

I found the problem on why my front wheels are locked into full time 4WD. Of course it’s the Encoder Motor but I did a little more investigation. I took it off and open her up just to be curious. Inside the the Encoder are 4 layers of planetary gears (pic 1). I took each layer off one by one...
